I've always remembered Michael Jackson as who he is. Not an African-American singer, not as the King of Pop. As far as I can tell, he is only person that stands in a category of his own.

He has written so many songs of every genre that I think the title King of Pop is inept. With heartfelt lyrics that each have a story of its own, he was the one who made me realize that music is not just meant to be heard and watched in performances. Music is meant to paint images in our minds and feel what he feels with our hearts. He's creative not just as a dancer with his slick moves but also with cinematography. Most of his videos and the ideas behind them are always above everyone else.

It's sad how people in this world are so corrupted that anything and everything they see is a clear reflection of themselves. He can relate to children because of his own innocence that he has managed to hold on to unlike the rest of us, who else but the media full of skeptics can deny that innocence doesn't belong to someone who wrote a song like 'Childhood'. Only people with evil in their minds would think that it's impossible for any adult to have pure love for children.

You 're too good for this world. It's better you're gone now before the media puts you in the negative spotlight all over again when your final tour comes up. I'd rather lose an inspiration like you to the hands of God than watch you get exploited and demeaned by those real wackos.

I think I've been spending money like water.
I take taxis even during peak hours where they charge a lot more.
I've been going to restaurants instead of foodcourts to eat, spending almost $60 at Margaritas on my first and most probably my last visit.
And last but not least, I bought a Netbook for $420 when I already have a Lifebook that is still in pretty good condition apart from the failing battery that lasts for less than 30mins.

I'll be moving to my Aunt's place from next week onwards during certain school days for studying purposes. I was supposed to go to my cousin's place but I still think staying with a guy is rather awkward. So all this moving about is gonna take toll on my poor shoulders as I carry a psychology textbook that is almost as heavy as my Lifebook. Thus my decision to get the ASUS netbook for convenience. Besides I used the ang pow money I got for my birthday, so I'll treat it as a birthday present for myself. Maybe after all this spending I shouldn't go on a holiday with Shou and Charm.

My exams start in 5 days and Im so NOT prepared. There is so much work to do and the pple here are so insanely hardworking, its scary.

I just got back an essay and I did rather badly for it. My tutor wrote that I obviously didnt understand some of the main legal issues and if I dont clarify them, I will be in trouble for the exam. On the plus side, he said I write really well. Great.. so that means I can show the examiner I dont understand a single thing "in a clear, proficient and structured manner".

Its times like these that I sometimes wish I have pple like Simone around to assure me that Im not the dumbest person on planet Earth.

P.S: Ive made Kimchi soup a couple of times! Its nothing like the "proper" ones in the food court but its close enough!

I have completed ONE of the 21 things.

I went for an audition!!!! HAHAHAHAHA! you totally wouldnt even believe me.
It's not even singing audition is DANCING audition! WTF right??? But HECK I did it!!!

Universal Studios were talent spotting around the globe, so today they were looking for mascot dancers, so I decided to go for it. *Singapore was the FIRST STOP!* I thought it was gonna be those rolly polly stuff just swing and clap your arms and pose the peace sign. But HELL NO! It was HIP HOP BITCH! hahahaha!

I was like OMG OMG OMG, get me out of here! It was held at Victoria Theatres, so everyone auditioning for the mascot role were brought to the dance room, those you see pple dancing ballet. So there's a choreographer from US! He is freaking HOT. okay, besides the point. The pple around me are probably fromt dance schools who can OBVIOUSLY dance. So all of us learnt the steps in like 15 mins and then we were split up into groups of 5 to be auditioned.

I know we keep changing destinations for our holiday plan, but now I got good news!

My sister told my mom she wants to go holland for holiday since she's saved up some money from her pay and now my mom thinks that I should go 'see the world' while I'm young. I told her I can't save up that much money to go Europe and she offered to subsidize me!

So now that money isn't a big barrier to me anymore, let's re-plan! I was thinking we can go Norway with Shou before her school term starts but Charm and I would have school by then. Or else we'll try to go to UK earlier before our classes begin and visit Jasmine. Or else we'll go Aussie like we've always talked about from the start. We need to meet up and plan soon!

its snowing here and although i think i said ill send snow back to you, im having second thoughts. a bit disgusting ah..

i have a tutorial tmr and i have abt 150 pages, 5 cases and a few chaps from a law journal to read but im still here blogging. see how nice i am? =D pple here are insanely hardworking. think [(chongy x 10) - all the anxiety + alcohol]. sadly, im not insanely hardworking. im wayy behind everyone else... i havent even gotten through week 1 s readings! sigh..

its so super cold here..last night was the lowest so far with minus 4. everyone are wearing like 5 layers of clothes but me? im just wearing a t-shirt and jacket. why this insanity? cause im lazy! hahaaa.. one day if you heard that i died of hypothermia, you know why.

there are quite a few singaporeans (from jc.. TSK! im disappointed.) here. but strangely i dont really hang out with any of them. its very odd but most of my close friends are americans. but i have a jap friend who has never read HANA YORI DANGO before. LIKE OMGG!!! i immediately passed her all the dvds to watch and now she loves it! yay!

oh yeah and you know how they have those erm.. "companion adverts" on yidao (the chinese version of youtube) with those girls doing those ridiculously insipid "kawaii" poses? i was watching some movie with this italian guy and when the advert popped out, he was like, "why do those girls look so fucked up?!" i dont know why but i found it so incredibly hilarious.

Things to note:
1) Shoulian talks to herself, converses with her notes and sings songs too loudly.
2) Try not to sit facing her, she may make really big gestures from time to time. [includes squatting on the chair, putting her feet up on the table]
3) Only Charm is immune to the mugger-mode [reading notes while eating].
4) Shoulian does not like going to the toilet alone.
5) Charm does not like to wait for the bus.

For me I start on the 24 nov - 4 dec. I have 4 continuous papers from 24h-27th nov and one silly greek philo on the 4th dec. So irritated at my timetable.

That means I can't depend on last min cramming!
Hopefully as isolated as your school is there's food for us to eat. I'm currently throwing my diet plans aside, can't study without food to munch on the side!

my exams start on 24 nov, end on 2 dec (cos of thai, my last paper)..oh well, at least i've more days to mug for my thai, while the rest of you r enjoying ur freedom. may pen ray

Alright back! OH OH OH!

You know what's the most memorable part of our trip, its them PLAYING THE "XIA RE MO MO CHA" movie all over and over again. I literally mean, OVER AND OVER, once the credits finish rolling, they will immediately start the movie ALL OVER AGAIN with no time for you to even catch a breather. Simone and zee know what i mean.

YAY! BACK FROM REDANG!

Honestly, Redang has a nice but not so secluded beach where you can have a romantic time with your loved ones.

DAY 1: The bus ride was HELL long, when we reached the jetty I was nauseous and my back was aching. BUT, I think the worst part of GETTING THERE was the ferry ride. half of my butt was on the engine compartment which probably was "generating" steam, it was probably the WORST ferry ride I had ever taken.

Then SNORKLING TIME (1st dive)!

The water is salty like crazy! URGH hate the water, it stings my eyes and itches my throat.

hey. shou! bangkok was quite fun right?!

ya, the stuff there all so small, even i cannot wear. zzz. but but but... i bought 2 dresses! can you believe it!. there's so many dresses there, it's so disturbing. every where you turn, there's a shop selling dresses. argh!

eh, you must consider the rising fuel cost loh. it's like double the cost to maintain a taxi or tuk tuk. so... ya, must understand why the taxi drivers try to rip you off the entire time. in my 4 days in bangkok, i only had a metered taxi once!!! wahhh. all the cabs don't wanna take us.

Finally back from BANGKOK, THAILAND.

Its definitely not nearly a "land of smiles", instead "a land of scams"

Thousands of scams to trick tourists happens everyday. Yeah, I fell prey to one but oh well, the ride is still cheap, even though along the way they send you to this gem shop which I was totally not interested. My mum kept nagging and overly worried whether they were going to kidnap us and sail us to the China seas. Even which, I when I reach china I will make my way to the embassy.

Well, my story was that I was at CentralWorld shopping centre and this "friendly" thai guy came up to me and told me that I was very lucky that the "lucky buddha" temple is open today, only once a month it opens. He offered to bring me there and back for only 20baht, which is equivalent to about 90cents. So why not, I naively hopped on the tuk-tuk and off we went.
The temple was mysteriously quiet and empty. Along the way back, he insisted that we went to this Thai export centre that sells gems and stuff, whatever certificate they may show, it can be bought! So my mum and I reluctantly just walked around the shop for less than 5 minutes and left.

Tuk-Tuk is a fun but OVERLY PRICEY way to get round. Taxis are no cheaper either, unless they go by the meter, which they obviously refuse as they can demand triple the meter price.
When you get into a cab, they will cook up a story about how the place you are going to not open yet, in the mean time, they can bring you to some seafood restaurant, or a jewellery shop, just kindly refuse. BLOODY SCAMS.

FOOD is wonderful, they come at such low prices that you may wonder what kind of ingredients they use. BUt oh well, FRIED OYSTERS rocks your socks off! Crispy on the outside and oysters so fat they burst in your mouth. YUMMY!

Bangkok is really a shopping destination, but that's if you are SKINNY and SLIM. Even the ah kua look better than me. SHITS. So ya, it was really difficult to find anything that fits there because the sizes were either extremely small, or if not, my size doesnt exists there.

NEXT STOP, Chiang Mai, heard its cooler up there! :D

That includes attractions, transport and f&b.
Come up with an itinerary that fills up the days spent there and make sure that its cost effective.
And of course, make sure that we are strategic in terms of the the location of the attractions and not run from the east to the west.

Jzee - Brisbane and Surrounding islands

Duration: Unspecified (3 days or so?) we have to tie in Gold Coast and decide if we wanna stay in GC - surfers paradise or Brissy.

HEY!

ITS REALLY SERIOUS DISCUSSION TIME. As we MIGHT be flying in another 3 weeks, first things first, we need to book air tickets. Then we MAYBE more motivated to plan the trip, if not we can probably forget about it and head down to somewhere in south east asia which will probably cut the cost by HALF.

DO NOT borrow money from me because I have none left.

If we cant really get anything finalize in terms of HARD CERTIFIED COPY OF PAYMENT by this week, I think we should just cancel this trip and wait for the next round.

you know, i just climbed bukit timah hill like a few weeks back. not much to see really and its not exactly tiring. only like 2 mins of the climb was tiring and that was because of a flight of stairs.
